Music On The Square

Everywhere you go, Mountain View rings with the sound of authentic mountain music. Musicians still gather to play banjos, fiddles, guitars, washboards or whatever makes a musical note. Anyone is welcome to join in...so bring your instrument, sit a spell and enjoy laid back pickin' and grinnin'.

This living museum takes visitors back in time to experience the music and skills of the last century. Quilting, furniture making, blacksmithing, pottery, woodworking and 20 other frontier skills are demonstrated. Folk music concerts are performed in traditional mountain style from April through October.
